Hopeful Change

Today's Free for All Challenge on Splitcoaststampers is a tribute to Hopeful Change --- to our coming back from the tragedy of the events of 9/11. Taking something dark and transforming it to something bright. What came to mind for me was the darkness of a cold, rainy day that transforms when the sun comes out and the flowers bloom.  The "Hope" stamp is from Stamp N Plus Scrap N.  The flowers are K & Co. borders.  The tiny butterflies are from the cutouts of a Spellbinders Butterfly Circle die.  The sun is cut with a Stampin Up punch.

As we remember the tragic events of 9/11 on this anniversary, let's move forward with hope...Paulette

Canadian Goose card

I made this card using stamps by Stamp N Plus. I stamped the Canadian Goose Stamp with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I direct to paper inked the white cardstock with Ranger's distress ink {Iced Spruce}. Then I lightly sprayed the image with water and let it dry. I usually do this technique with watercolor paper but that I would try it on Recollections white cardstock. After it dried I matted a piece of Stampin Up gray cardstock and then onto the patterned paper. I cut the pennants out of the same cardstock and stamped the word dad over all three. The stamp can be found below and the black ink is by Hero Arts.

This sentiment stamp comes from a sheet of sentiments that is a must have for scrapping and cardmaking.

If you are interested in purchasing this sheet of rubber stamps please call Luann at 1-715-271-1873.

Contest Winner

I entered this card at the Rubber Stamp Events show in West Bend, WI. Theme was "Cinderella." I originally sent the card in without the word label and flourish. Barb from Rubber Stamp Events was nice enough to call me to say that my card did not meet the requirements for the contest---must have some stamping. I remade the card and added the stamped label and flourish. The Cinderella and carriage embossing folders were acquired at a garage sale for 50 cents for the set. My card won $50 for 3rd place!!!

The "Dream" stamp is from a set of Stamp N Plus Scrap N word set.  You can order this set by calling LuAnn at:(715) 271-1873

A Summer Fiesta

I found a challenge online with some bright, happy colors and a "Summer Fiesta" theme.

It's Summertime and the colors are bright, bold and sunny.  I love the happy colors and chose this stamp from Stamp N Plus Scrap N.   The stamp is from a set of words.  This set is not listed in the online catalog but can be ordered by calling LuAnn at 715-271-1873.

The happy flowers were made by my BFF Hedy who fashioned them from seam binding.  The leaves were punched from a Punch Bunch punch that I picked up for 40 cents at St. Vinny's.  The background was dry embossed with a folder by Sizzix.  The colorful gems remind me of confetti from a pinata or fireworks---both items present at a fiesta.

Hope your Summertime is filled with Happy!.......Paulette

Challenge Inspired Card

I've been intrigued with the Runway Inspired Challenges and decided it was time to try one.
The challenge is also linked with a Sketch Challenge blog so this card was designed for both

Below is the Trina Turk outfit and the sketch:

My flowers were made from red vellum using a Stampin Up Blossom punch.  For the second tier of
 petals I cut
a slit in the flower and glued the two petals adjoining the slit together to create a bit of dimension.
Before gluing this second tier to the bottom layer, I cut off the cone shape formed when I glued the
together.  The center was cut from a dotted paper with a sun punch.  To form the circular layer, I
a B&W
dotted semi-circle and a white paper doily.  The butterfly was cut with a Marianne Creatables die
the label
was made with Spellbinders Nestabilities.  I think the black and white pattern paper I chose for the
 butterfly and
label is quite similar to the material used for the shorts.  "Smile" is a stamp from Stamp N Plus Scrap N
 It is part
of a set that is not currently on their website but can be ordered by calling LuAnn at 715-271-1873.

There's a bit of pale blue in the sweater and my design needed a little something to fill the white
space in the
upper right corner.  I added a few pale blue rhinestones.

An apple a day

Today my card features THIS Apple Stamp and a Thanks stamp both by Stamp N Plus. The thanks stamp is from a sheet of sentiments/labels that are not on the website but can be purchased. See below for photo of all the sentiments/labels included and the phone number to order yours today.

I stamped the apple image using a mixture of powdered chalk and paint both by Stamp N Plus
I mixed the two together and then painted each color onto my stamp and stamped it to the cardstock. Check out THIS tutorial on how exactly how I stamped the image for my card.

Once it was dry I used a Quickutz die cut to give it shape. The thing I like about this apple stamp is that you can use just about any shape die cut to give it life. I can just imagine an oval or one of  my many Spellbinders label dies. I chose this one because at the time it was new to me.

If you would like to read more about my card and see close up photos, please visit my blog at

Here is the sheet of sentiments that are included in with this Thanks stamp. As you can see it would be great for cardmakers and scrappers. You can call Luann at 715-271-1873 to order yours today.

Sympathy card

I have a new card today made with a Stamp N Plus sentiment stamp. See below for details.

The focal image of my card is a die cut from my Cricut out of Bazzill cardstock and the background is Basic Grey which is the same bg paper that is on the bottom portion of the card. I dry embossed the bottom with a Gina Marie embossing folder. After I embossed it I took a distress ink stamp pad over it for added interest.
The ribbon is from  Michael's and the patterned paper on top is by Pink Paislee.

This stamp is not on the Stamp N Plus website but If you would like to order this sympathy sentiment stamp I have to tell you is comes in a sheet with a bunch of other sentiments. Here's a couple of pictures of the sheet:

You can order it by calling Luann at 715-271-1873. Tell her you saw it on the SNP blog.

Cozy Chair stamp by Stamp N Plus

My card today features this Cozy Chair stamp by Stamp N Plus and I have to say it is one of my favorite stamps to play with.

I previously made the stamped image, which you can see in THIS post, and finally acquired the correct shade of purple to match the flowers in the chair. The image was stamped with Versa Mark and then heat embossed it with SNP silver embossing powder. Next I colored it in with Stamp N Plus's Stardust powdered chalk mixed with distress inks and water. The distress inks give the Stardust chalk color with a beautiful sparkle to it. Then I finished the image piece up by die cutting the it out with a Spellbinder's die and matting it onto a piece of purple scrap patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by and please stop by my blog for a complete list of supplies used.

The powdered chalks are also by Stamp N plus and the colors are simply Red and Lime with a link to the paint HERE.

A Love Story

Today on Stamp N Plus I have a sea shell card to share with you. Here in Michigan we are covered in snow and it's still coming down. This card helps me remember that winter doesn't last for ever.

Here's a close up of shells I used. They can all be found HERE on the Stamp N Plus website.

I colored them in with powdered chalk mixed with paint which can be found HERE. I placed a little bit of the paint under the shells to give them a shadow effect.

The patterned paper is by Stampin Up and Scenic Route and the sentiment stickers are by Creative Imagination.

Thanks for looking.

Stamp N Plus Thanks

I have a fall like card to share today I really like to color in this Pumpkin and Flower Barrel stamp with powdered chalk mixed with paint. The sort of rugged affect fits perfect with any fall theme project.

This card is very simple. I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored it in with different colored powdered chalk mixed with paint both by Stamp N Plus. I fussy cut the image out and set it aside. The card base is by Recollections. I adhered a piece of unknown brown cardstock to the left and a piece of K and Co embossed paper to the right.

I die cut the sentiment from my Cricut and adhered it and the image on top of the patterned paper. Then I set it aside and pondered it for a couple of months. It needed something more but I couldn't figure out what. I pulled it out just this past week and thought what if I ink the edges with distress ink and an ink blender by Ranger? It always seems to work on my other projects. So that's what I did and now I'm happy with the results.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp N Plus calendar layout

I have a calendar layout to share using a Stamp N Plus stamp, powdered chalk and paint. When you mix the powdered chalk with paint it creates a new medium to color in your stamped images. It doesn't take that much mixture to cover in an average size image and when I am finished painting an image I can not waste the left over mixture. What I do is take a large paint brush, dip it into the mixture and paint a piece of white cardstock. I end up with a handful of pieces of paper like this in all different chalk colors. For this layout, I took the three colors you see below and punched them out with an oval punch. I added the letter stickers {old alphas by Creative Memories} and used them as a design piece and as my title for my layout.

Stop by my blog to see the rest of the layout and where I used a SNP sentiment stamp on a layout.

Sea Shells

I made this layout for one of the calendars that I made this December. I love the way the Stamp N Plus Shell Stamps add to the beach scenes in these photos. The beige cardstock is by Studio G and the polka dot paper is by Making Memories. The brown cardstock is from Joann's and the Chinese Proverb sticker is by Colorbok.

I stamped the seashells onto cream cardstock by Recollections with Chocolate Chip Stampin Up Ink. Then after I fussy cut the images, I inked the edges with a Ranger blending tool and a little of distress ink.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Save Santa a trip

The Christmas season is well on its way and I have a beautiful Christmas card using a Stamp N Plus stamp. The tree stamp is one of the many iris folding stamps that Stamp N Plus carries. If you are interested in purchasing this tree stamp please call Luann at 715-271-1873.

I stamped the tree onto cream cardstock and proceeded to cut out the center. Then using a light patterned paper from my local scrapbook store I used the stamp guide to fold the paper and create the iris look. I matted the image on Making Memories patterned paper and placed two little Jolee's present stickers under the tree. The sentiment is a sticker by Momenta and I positioned it on a Spellbinders die that is popped up with foam adhesive. The patterned paper of the die is by Recollections.

Then once the card was all set up I sprayed it with Stardust powdered chalk mixed with water. You can see a little bit of the sparkle on the close up view.

Baseball Layout

I was asked to make a few scrapbooks by a friend of ours that she will give to her brother for Christmas. The scrapbook is all ticket stubs, no pictures. I'm having fun with it and wanted to show you a layout that I made using a Stamp N Plus baseball stamp

The clouds and mountains were cut out using my Cricut and then I added the baseball stamp with some lines to show movement. At first I felt like there should be more to the layout but since it's for a guy and I thought this was appropriate as is. I hope you like it. I posted it to my blog as part of my Manly Monday series where I showcase guy paper crafts along with other's projects that are masculine. Stop by my blog and check them out.

Thanks so much for looking.

Iris folding ornament card

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas. I really need to start thinking about sending out cards. Plus I'm making 15 calendars for family members. Ugh!

The sentiment stamp is part of sheet of sentiments that you can purchase. I've included a picture of the sentiments on the bottom of this post. If you are interested in buying the sheet  of sentiments call Luann at 715-271-1873.

Elk in the River

I posted this card to my Manly Monday blog post a couple of weeks ago and wanted to share it here since it is uses a Stamp N Plus stamp. Manly Monday is a weekly blog post I do on my blog that showcases male cards made by other crafters and one by myself. Stamp N Plus has many guy type stamps if you look under Harvest, Tractor and Farm, By the Sea, Dinosaurs, Gargoyles, North American animals and Sports to name a few.

The Elk in River stamp was stamped onto watercolor paper and then with Hero Arts black ink and then colored in with distress markers and then distress inks for the water and sky. I love the look that distress products give for these scene type stamps.

The sentiment stamps are also by Stamp N Plus but are not on the website. If you are interested in purchasing the stamps please see the picture below with the other sentiments in the set and then call Luann at 715-271-1873 to order yours today.

Thanks for looking.
